Krystal Knott August 23, 2012

It’s time for the 25th Annual Summit Foundation Great Rubber Ducky Race in Breckenridge, Colorado, on Saturday, September 1, 2012. This fantastic event takes place at the Riverwalk Center / Blue River Plaza in Breckenridge and features fun for the entire family with live music, food, balloons/amusements for kids, and exciting rubber ducky racing all afternoon.

The festivities begin with the Kids’ Duck Dash at 1:00 pm, which is sponsored by the new Lowe’s in Silverthorne, followed by the Business Battle Duck Race, sponsored by First Bank of Summit County. The main event, the Great Rubber Ducky Race – Sponsored by Grand Lodge on Peak 7, consists of 10,000 rubber ducks being floated down the Blue River with an always exciting grand finale featuring amazing prizes for those 50 lucky ducks who come across the finish line first and the laziest duck who comes across last. According to the Summit Foundation, the grand prize is an amazing “week-long stay in a 2-bedroom suite in Mexico, Las Vegas, Orlando, Arizona or other destinations as available.”
