The Dew Tour is back in Breckenridge, Colorado, from December 12-15, 2013. This 4-day event will be held at the base of Peak 8 of the Breckenridge Ski Resort. Spectators can ride the BreckConnect Gondola from town to access the Breckenridge Dew Tour events. This year, the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association has partnered with the Dew Tour in Breckenridge as the first of five selection events where athletes will be chosen to compete in the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Some of the top Olympic athletes will compete at the Breckenridge Dew Tour, such as Shaun White, Kelly Clark, Bobby Brown, and more. Not only will you be able to watch Olympic hopefuls compete during the day, but Saturday evening, you can treat your ears to music by Fitz and the Tantrums. Fitz and the Tantrums will perform at the Riverwalk Center at 7:30 pm on Saturday, December 14th. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased online here.
The Breckenridge Dew Tour is free to attend; if you would prefer to ski down to the event, then you will need to purchase a lift ticket. Breckenridge Dew Tour events include Men's and Women’s Ski Superpipe, Snowboard Superpipe, Ski Slopestyle, Snowboard Slopestyle and Nike Snowboarding Streetstyle. Most of the events will also be broadcast live on NBC and NBC Sports Network, or you can view live streaming at DewTour.com.
