Krystal Knott December 27, 2012
Spending New Year's Eve 2012 in Breckenridge, Colorado, why not celebrate with the Glow Worm and Torchlight Parade? The Glow Worm Parade is for children ages 5-13. At 5:45pm the kids will ski down a green run on Peak 9 with glow sticks in hand to create a festive Glow Worm! Registration is free and starts at 5 pm at the Beaver Run Ski & Ride School at the base of Peak 9.
Following the first-ever Breckenridge Glow Worm Parade is the traditional Torchlight Parade. Breckenridge’s Torchlight Parade is also on Peak 9 and is a mix of skiers and boarders coming down from the top of Peak 9 with lighted torches. If you haven’t seen this before, it is quite spectacular and can be seen anywhere you can view Peak 9. The Town of Breckenridge will follow up these mountain festivities with a spectacular fireworks show at 9 pm (weather dependent).
