The 50th annual Breckenridge Ullr Fest is upon us January 6-12, 2013. This fun-filled week is to pay homage to Ullr, the Norse God of snow so he will grace Breckenridge with a tremendous ski season filled with fluffy white powder. This is always an exciting week to visit or spend time in Breckenridge, Colorado. Whether you participate or are just a spectator, you are sure to enjoy some or all of what Breckenridge’s Ullr Fest 2013 has to offer.
Sunday, January 6th — Crowning of the Ullr King and Queen, Dave & Cindy Love at the Riverwalk Center at 6 pm. To kick off the 50th annual Breckenridge Ullr Fest, there will be free beer and live music by The Luv Brothers.
Monday, January 7th — Family Night at the Gold Run Nordic Center (Tiger Road). From 3:30-5:30 pm, this new and FREE event will include ice skating, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, indoor activities, and a bonfire for all to enjoy.
Tuesday, January 8th — Ullympics at the Riverwalk Center from 6-8 pm. Teams of 4 compete in activities such as the frying pan toss, dress a gaper, and more. If you have never seen Ullympics, you are in for an exciting evening of fun!
Wednesday, January 9th — Ullr Dating Game at Cecilia’s starting at 7 pm. This FREE event for those over 21 years of age is hosted by our local radio station, KSMT.
Thursday, January 10th — Ullr Fest Parade, Bonfire and Fireworks. The Ullr Fest Parade starts at 4:30 pm and proceeds down Main Street. Following the Parade is the town Bonfire from 5-7 pm, with Fireworks to follow at 7 pm.
Friday, January 11th — Ullr Comedy Night at Beaver Run Resort. This year laughs will be provided by Marc Ryan & Troy Walker. Tickets cost $35 in advance or $40 at the door. All proceeds benefit the Carriage House, an early learning center.
Saturday, January 12th — Ullr Pond Hockey Tournament at the Gold Run Nordic Center pond. For additional information or to register your team go online to GoBreck.com or call (970) 547-9974.
There will also be an Ullr Fashion Show at Park Avenue Pub following the Ullr Pond Hockey Tournament.
