Dogsledding in Summit County, Colorado, is exhilarating fun for the whole family. Our favorite trusted outfitter is minutes outside of Breckenridge, Colorado at Good Times Adventures. The strength of the sledding dogs will leave you in awe. Prepare yourself for the speed at which they can gather! You’ll have the opportunity to “mush” the sled yourself, while your partner rides in the dogsled. Large groups will switch on and off, so you will get the full experience.
Each tour runs a beautiful, winding 6-mile loop through the Swan River Valley. Here, a fun video gives you a glance at an adventure out with the dogsled team:
Tours cost $75 per person for an adult, and reservations are required. Multiple layers and ski wear, winter boots, goggles or sunglasses, gloves, and neck warmers are highly recommended. If you’re wondering what else to bring, visit the Good Times Adventures website for more details. Outfitters run throughout the winter season, but fun summer options are also available at Snow Caps Sled Dogs outside of Breckenridge. Enjoy an adrenaline rush being pulled on a cart or scooter, or take a tour and meet all of the sled dogs.
