Winter Wonderland is back in Breckenridge, Colorado, with The Lighting of Breckenridge on Saturday, December 7, 2013. This festive holiday tradition is held every year on the quaint Victorian Main Street of Breckenridge. Bundle up and bring your Santa hat to sing carols, drink hot chocolate, and take in the holiday spirit. The Lighting of Breckenridge 2013 is the perfect holiday event to kick off the holidays!
1:45-3:45 pm — Family art project at the Fuqua in the Arts District; this is free for kids
3:00-6:00 pm — Victorian-dressed carolers will sing holiday songs throughout Main Street
3:30 pm –Alpine Dance Academy performs at the Blue River Plaza
4:15 pm — Race of the Santas down Main Street, if you haven’t seen this before it is a hoot with hundreds of people dressed in Santa suits racing down Main Street!
4:30 pm — Visit the Red, White & Blue Firehouse for hot cocoa and cookies, located at 316 N. Main Street
5:00 pm — Santa arrives to lead the walk down Main Street to the Blue River Plaza for the tree lighting
5:20 pm — Tree Lighting in the Blue River Plaza with caroling
5:30-7:00 pm — Visit with Santa and take pictures at the Barney Ford Museum located at 111 E. Washington Avenue
