Krystal Knott June 13, 2012
You know summer has arrived in Summit County when the annual Frisco Colorado BBQ Challenge arrives. The 19th Annual Frisco BBQ Challenge is being held on Main Street, Frisco, Thursday, June 14 through Saturday, June 16, 2012. This is one of the events locals and visitors look forward to every year. Besides finger-licking good BBQ, you will also find other festive food such as funnel cakes, corn on the cob, turkey legs, and much more to delight everyone’s taste buds.
This year's Frisco BBQ Challenge has entertainment for the family chef, music lover, and cowboy/cowgirl in all of us with a wide array of specialty events throughout each day. For the family chef, there are Viking Kitchen Demonstrations each day, which are held at 2nd Avenue and Main Street. Music lovers can kick back and enjoy the music stylings of Monet on Thursday evening, Sons of Bill and Fishbone on Friday, and Clay McClinton, Buckner Funken Jazz and CJ Chenier & The Red Hot Louisiana Band on Saturday. For all the Cowboys and Cowgirls out there, don’t miss the Swifty Swine Pig Races on Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm.
The 19th Annual Frisco BBQ Challenge is sure to be one heck of a hootenanny!
