Good Food & Great Atmosphere in Frisco, Colorado

Krystal Knott December 18, 2020

Don’t miss the excellent new American bar & steakhouse addition to Frisco, Colorado. Tavern West opened its doors this past fall at 311 W. Main Street, boasting spectacular views of Mount Royal from their year-round deck. With a focus on local and all-natural ingredients for both the drink and food menu, chef Ryan Worthen is confident his business will stand out from the crowd.

The kitchen features a 500-pound smoker, a wood-burning grill, a rotisserie and a flat top grill. The burgers are cooked on the flat top, and the steak, salmon, and shrimp are all coming off the wood-burning grill, using oak, cherry, peach, and applewood from the Western Slope.

Entrée specials have highlighted options such as grilled rack of Wild Boar with sage & roasted garlic demi-glace, Pan-Seared Japanese Lantern Scallops topped with wild mushrooms and truffle oil, and Braised Bison Short Ribs. Enjoy lunch with views of the mountains over a Pork Belly BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato & avocado), or Super Grain Veggie Burger.

The patio along Main Street has great views and is far enough west that the sun stays in the area a little longer. There is also a massive fireplace in the corner that is the showpiece of the deck. Happy hour is featured every day from 4-6 pm.

Among them, the ownership team at Tavern West shares 94 years of restaurant experience. Blending some of the longest-running restaurant careers in Summit County with inspired “new blood,” early reports indicate that this combination is a winning one.
