New Wine Bar in Frisco, CO – Vine Street Social

Krystal Knott February 6, 2024

Newly opened in December 2023, Vine Street Social is a trendy new place to socialize and enjoy wine and small bites with friends and family in downtown Frisco. I sat down with the owner, Debbi Anderson, and asked all the questions you may have before visiting her beautiful new wine bar. Take a read and then visit Vine Street Social when you are in town.

How did you first get into wine, and what led you to open a wine bar in Frisco?

I’ve always had a passion for wine and have done many trips that were centered around visiting different wine regions and vineyards. I wanted to create a space within the Summit County community for people to come together, mingle, spend time with friends, have small bites, and wine, so I decided to embark on this new adventure in a town I love.

What was your career before opening Vine Street Social?

I was a CPA with my own tax practice in Denver for 23 years.

How long have you lived in Summit County?

In December 2022, my husband Eric and I moved to Frisco full-time, but we have had a home in Frisco for over 10 years.

How did you choose your location?

I love the small-town feel of Frisco, the community feeling you get when in Frisco, and I wanted to be able to walk to work, so we decided to look for a space in downtown Frisco.

What kind of events do you host at Vine Street Social?

Every week, we have Wine Flight Wednesdays, where you can explore and try wines from different regions, varietals, and themes. We also have live music once or twice per week. We also have an upcoming comedy show on March 2, 2024. Tickets can be purchased online; the last comedy show sold out.

You serve a variety of food options. What is your favorite item on the menu?

Both the Fig, Prosciutto & Blue Cheese Flatbread and the Green Onion & Blue Cheese Dip are customers' favorites.

What cocktails do you offer outside of wine?

We offer craft beer on draft, espresso martinis, local gin, vodka, and whiskey cocktails, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.

Do you have a space to hold private events?

We do have a private space downstairs that should be open by June for private events.

What is your favorite recreational activity to do in Summit County?

I really enjoy riding bikes in the summer and hiking in both the summer and winter with friends and family.

What is your favorite type of wine?

The one in front of me!

Do you have a favorite vineyard?

Knudsen Vineyards in Oregon and Black Cat Vineyards in California are both spectacular.

If you were your own customer, what day of the week would be your favorite to visit Vine Street Social and why?

Sundays! We offer happy hour all day and an array of brunch items like homemade biscuits and gravy, quiche, mimosas, bloody marys, and more.

What are one or two things all wine drinkers (novice or experienced) should know about wine?

At the end of the day, wine is a personal preference; there is no right or wrong when it comes to wine or a specific taste. Wine brings people together, and each person gets a chance to enjoy the wine of their choosing, which is what makes wine special.
