Compared to the end of April 2011, when there were 280 closed residential transactions, at the end of April 2012 296 transactions, which is an increase of 5.7%. The number of closed transactions so far this year has also increased 32% over 2010 and 74% over 2009 as of the end of April each year. While transactions are increasing, prices continue to remain low in Summit County CO Real Estate.
The average sold price per square foot for all residential sales in Summit County CO Real Estate through April 2012 is $288. This is a decrease from previous years at this time; in 2011 the average was $314, in 2010 the average was $316 and in 2009 the average was $351 for the average sold price per square foot of all residential transactions as of the end of April. So far in 2012, the average sold price per square foot is down 9 – 21.9% over previous years.
