The Summit County Real Estate Market continues to improve over previous years. The first quarter of 2012 had 202 sales, an increase of 5% from the first quarter of 2011, which had 192 sales, and a more substantial increase of 21% during the same period in 2010, with 160 sales. With sales dropping to a low of 124 sales in the first quarter of 2009, the Summit County CO Real Estate market continues to trend upwards in sales while prices remain down.
Average sold price per square foot for the first quarter of 2012 is down 39.5% from the height of the market in 2008. The sold price per square foot was $402 in the first quarter of 2008 compared to $288 in 2012.
