Kick off the 2012 Holiday Season by joining the festivities at The Race of the Santas and The Lighting of Breckenridge on December 1st! At 4:00 pm, check out Breckenridge’s Second Annual Race of the Santas – Cheer on the Santas as they lace up their running shoes and dash down Main Street in Breckenridge for a great cause to benefit Adopt an Angel. The Race of the Santas is an all-ages event; those who want to race can enter with their own Santa suit for $10 or buy one for $30. The Lighting of Breckenridge begins with hot cocoa and cookies at the Red, White, and Blue Firestation at 4:30 pm, followed by Santa’s arrival at 4:45 pm to begin a joyous procession down Main Street, concluding with the lighting of the Breckenridge Town Tree at 5:30 pm in the Blue River Plaza. Children can visit Santa at the Barney Ford Museum from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
