The Breckenridge real estate market is on the rise for the first quarter in 2016 compared to all of 2015. Average sales price for residential properties increased +10.96% in the first quarter of 2016 with an average sales price of $809,483 compared to $729,508. However, the average sold price per square foot only increased +5.21% from $422 per square foot up to $444 per square foot.
The increase in average sales price and price per square foot is likely due to the low inventory the Breckenridge real estate market is currently experiencing. Currently there are 216 active Breckenridge property listings which equates to approximately 105 days of inventory. As we enter spring and summer, inventory levels are expecting to increase giving Buyers more options when looking to purchase a property in the Summit County real estate market.
